Formal Elements of Art
The formal elements of Art (Line, Form, Shape, Tone, Texture, Pattern and Colour) will be investigated through a selection of projects which will introduce the students to a variety of different art skills, mediums and techniques. Initially students will explore colour by looking at the Russian abstract artists Kandinsky and surrealist Marc Chagall. They will develop analytical and observational skills whilst learning about earlier art movements and artists.
